Probably not.You are probably just concerned with the history of on time Delta flights. But it is interesting to recall flight history from time to time. The history of flight time line begins in 400 AD but humans have probably been trying to fly since the beginning of time. The idea of soaring above the world is a dream that seems to be indigenous to the human experience. Seeing birds swoop down from the sky in less time than it takes a human to walk the same terrain may have been an inspiration. Around 400 AD in China kites began to be flown. This surely further encouraged the idea that man should try to take to the skies. Over time humans began building wings out of the fallen feathers of birds and other materials. Of course none of this worked but it did nothing to stall the history of flight. Humans continued trying to take flight until they eventually did. In 1783 Joseph Michel and Jacques Etienne Montgolfier, a pair of brothers designed the first hot air balloon, were partners in flight history. They tested their new contraption with animal passengers before they began allowed humans to try it. The balloon flew for more than a mile. This opened up the door for human passengers. Jean-Francois Pilatre de Rozier and Francois Laurent earned their place in the history of flight by being the first human passengers in a hot air balloon. George Carley was the next person to make substantial advancement in the history of flight timeline. He built gliders which were significant advancements in flight history. These gliders were improved over time but they could not travel that far. It was the Wright Brothers in 1903 that made the most impact on flight history. They would have the most to do with the history of how a plane works. The history of space flight goes hand in hand with the history of air flight.
